Right form of the verbs এর সহজ নিয়ম for JSC / SSC / HSC

                                   Right form of the verbs

1.3^rd person / /singular number + V_1+s,es

The boy (Play)football.

Ans: The boy plays football.

2.  Always, regularly, sometimes, often, generally, daily, everyday, occasionally, usually , normally এগুলো থাকলে V₁ হয়।

He always (disturb) the class.

Ans: He always disturbs the class.

3. Now, at this moment  থাকলে am/is/are + v_+ing  হয়।

He (sing) a song now.

Ans: He is singing a song now.

4. Has, have/had থাকলে V₃ হয়।

He has  (do) the work.

Ans: He has done the work.

5. just, just now, already, yet, ever, lately, recently থাকলে have/has + v₃ হয়।

I see him recently.

Ans: I have seen him recently.

6. Yesterday, ago, long since, last night থাকলে v₂ হয়।

He (leave) home last night.

Ans: He left home last night.

7. No Sooner hd ……….than, Scarcely had……….when, hardly had………..before থাকলে ১ম V3 হয় এবং ২য়  V2 হয়।

No sooner had he (see) the police than he (run) away.

Ans: No sooner had seen the police than he ran away.

8. V₁ / have,has+V₃ – Since – V₂

It is many years since I come to Dhaka.

Ans: It is many years since I came to Dhakak.

Many years have passed since his father die.

Ans: Many years have passed since his father died.

9. V₂ – Since – had+V₃

It was many years since they first meet.

Ans: It was many years since they had first met.

10. had+V₃ – Before – V₂

       V₂    - After  - had+V₃

The patient (die) before the doctor came.

Ans: The patient had died before the doctor came.

The patient died after the doctor (come)

Ans: The patient died after the doctor had come.

11. যদি কোন ‍Sentence এ দুটি verb থাকে তাহলে ২য় verb এর সাথে ing হয়।

I saw him go.

Ans: I saw him going.

12. Had better, Had rather, would better, would rather, let, must, need, dare এর পরে V₁ হয়।

You had better (to go) home.

Ans: You had better go home.

13. শুরুতে Would that থাকলে Subject এর পরে could+V₁ হয়।

Would that I (go)to college.

Ans: Would that I could go to college.

14. Verb এর পূর্বে mind, worth, without, past, cannot help, could not help, with a view to, look forward to, would you mind, get used to ও preposition থাকলে V_+ing হয়।

I went to the library with a view to (read)there.

Ans: I went to the library with a view to reading there.

He never thought of (go) to cinema.

Ans: He never thought of going to cinema.

15. It is high time, It is time, wish, fancy থাকলে V2  হয়।

I fancy I (turn) Pale.

Ans: I fancy I turned pale.

It is high time he (change) his bad habits.

Ans: It is high time he changed his bad habits.

16. As though, as if, wish এর পরে were হয়।

I wish I (to be) a  king.

Ans: I wish I were a king.

17.       V₁ + As if / As thought + V2
V₂ + As if / As thought + had +V₃

He tells the matter as if he knew it.

Ans:  he tells the matter as if he knew it.

He told the matter as if he had known it.

Ans: He told the matter as if he had known it.

18. Can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would ইত্যাদি auxiliary হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হলে পরে V₁ হয়।

19. *If + V₁, Sub + shall/will + V₁

i. If it rains, we shall not go.

*If + V₂, Sub + could + V₁

i. If he came, I could go.

*If + had + V₃, Sub + could have + V₃

i. If she had tried, She could have succeeded.

*If + were, Sub + could + V₁

i. If I were a king, I could help the poor.

20. Had+sub+v3, Sub+would have+v3

Had I possessed vast property, I (establish) a college.

Ans: Had I possessed vast property, I would have established a college.

21. *While+V_+ing

While (walk) in the garden, a snake bit him.

Ans: While walking in the garden, a snake bit him.

*While+sub+was/were+V_+ing

While he (walk) in the garden, a snake bit him.

Ans: While he was walking in the garden, a snake bit him.

22. *Subject singular  হলে verb singular হবে।

The colour of his eyes (be) blue.

Ans: The colour of his eyes is blue.

*Subject plural হলে verb plural হবে।

The players in the field (be) strong.

Ans: The players in the field are strong.

23. একই দৈর্ঘ্য, পরিমাণ বা স্থান বুঝালে subject দেখতে plural হলেও verb singular হয়।

Fifty miles (be) a long way.

Ans: Fifty miles is a long way.

24. কোন ‍sentence যদি there দ্বারা হয় এবং তার পর যদি singular number থাকে তাহলে there পরে singular verb  হয়। আর plural number থাকলে plural verb হয়।

There (be) a high school in our village.

Ans: There is a high school in our village.

There (be) two high schools in our village.

Ans: There are tw
o high schools in our village.
